Garlic is a hardy perennial that looks similar to onion except that the bulb is segmented into cloves. Garlic does not need to be refrigerated for short periods of time. This organic garlic will start to sprout if left out for more than a few weeks. Refrigeration will slow that considerably but it will still eventually sprout after several months.
