Azure Organic Raw Whole Almonds

Raw whole almonds are never heated, steamed, irradiated, or chemically sterilized like many almonds labeled as ‘raw’ on the market, our unpasteurized almonds are truly unheated or treated. Our almonds are imported from Spain where pasteurization is not a requirement. Our unpasteurized almonds are a whole food with all of their healthy fats, nutrition and enzymes intact. One of the most versatile super foods on the market, almonds can be used to make non-dairy milks, creams, cheeses or eaten on their own as a healthy snack.

The European almonds sourced by supplier are specified by our supplier to have less than 1% by weight of bitter almonds. Bitter almonds are generally indistinguishable from sweet almonds upon visual examination, but are acutely bitter/sour to the taste.

Azure Market Organics Truly Raw Almonds are imported from Europe so that they are truly raw, all USA almonds by law are required to be flash pasteurized. Because these almonds are truly raw there is a risk of possible bacteria in these truly raw almonds.

Azure Market products that are re-packaged by Azure for your convenience are packaged in a Facility that meets the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) standards which includes an approved allergen control program.
